(Zhao Lei)
Folk singer, songwriter, and musician Zhao Lei was born in Beijing, China on
July 20, 1986. Learning to play guitar while in high school, he began his
journey as a singer-songwriter in 2003 when he began performing acoustic shows
in local clubs. Writing from a personal perspective, his songs began to attract
fans and earned the respect of many local musicians. In 2009, he toured China
and set up his own recording studio, Anti Beat. The following year, he performed
at the Strawberry Music Festival and the Beijing Fangshan Changyang Music
