YUP
YUP, a Finnish rock band, was formed in 1987 by Jarkko Martikainen, Valtteri
Tynkkynen, and Jussi Hyyrynen in Savonlinna. The group’s early work, including
the EP Turpasauna! (1990), marked a shift to Finnish lyrics and more complex
progressive rock arrangements. Over the next decade YUP released a series of
albums, such as Toppatakkeja ja Toledon terästä (1994), Homo Sapiens (1994),
Yövieraat (1996), Outo elämä (1998), which was regarded as their breakthrough,
