Young Lay
Lathan Williams, known professionally as Young Lay, was born in 1975 in Vallejo,
California. He is an American gangsta rapper who began his career in the San
Francisco Bay Area. Williams released the 12" "All About My Fetti" in 1995 and
his first solo single "Playah's Mode" in 1996. His first studio album Black 'N
Dangerous was also released in 1996, featuring collaborations with artists such
as Ray Luv and Tupac Shakur. Young Lay was sentenced to a 12-year prison
sentence for an armed robbery and was released from prison in 2010.
