Yen Town Band
YEN TOWN BAND are a fictional J-pop band who feature in a 1996 crime film
directed by Shunji Iwai titled 'Swallowtail Butterfly' with music performed by
Japanese pop singer Chara, whose real name is Miwa Watabiki. An album titled
'Montage' with songs from the film topped Japan's Oricon Albums Chart in 1996
and the film's title track reached number 18 on the Oricon Singles Chart. A
remastered edition of the album was released in 2015.
