Wiyaala
Noella Wiyaala Nwadei, professionally known as Wiyaala, is a Ghanaian Afro-pop
singer-songwriter born in Wa, Upper West Ghana, in 1986. She began performing at
age five and received her first singing lessons from her mother. In 2009, she
recorded her debut studio album, Tuma, in the Sissala language. After reaching
the finals of the reality show Starz of the Future in 2011, she won the Vodafone
Icons contest in 2012 as a member of the group Black N Peach. Wiyaala left the
band in 2013 to pursue a solo career with Djimba World Records, releasing the
single “Make Me Dance” in 2013....
