Winnie Nwagi, born Winnifred Nakanwagi on June 20, 1989, is a Ugandan singer and songwriter. She grew up in Namasuba and began performing in primary school as a soloist, traditional dancer, and traditional drummer. Following secondary school, she competed in the Coca-Cola Rated Next talent search, finishing as the second runner-up, and subsequently signed a recording contract with the label Swangz Avenue in 2014.
