Win, a Scottish pop group active between 1983 and 1990, emerged from the
dissolution of The Fire Engines when Davy Henderson assembled a new line‑up that
included drummer and keyboardist Ian Stoddart and former Fire Engine member
Russell Burn on keyboards; the ensemble added guitarist and backing vocalist
Emmanuel “Mani” Shoniwa, guitarist Simon Smeeton, keyboardist Karl Mariner, and,
later, Willie Perry. Their first single, "Unamerican Broadcasting", was released
in 1985 through Swamplands, followed by the track "You've Got the Power", which
was used in a McEwan's lager advertis...
