William Onyeabor, born William Ezechukwu Onyeabor on March 26, 1945, in Enugu, Nigeria, was a Nigerian funk musician. Born into a poor family, he became financially successful enough to study record production in Europe. Upon returning to Nigeria in the 1970s, Onyeabor founded his own music label, Wilfilms, and built a recording studio.
