Walter Prati was born on August 6, 1956 in Milan, and is an Italian composer and
performer. He studied composition with Irlando Danieli at the Conservatorio
Giuseppe Verdi and completed a degree in electronic music in the early 1980s,
later training in double bass under Carlo Capriata. Prati founded Studio MM&T in
1990, which became a hub for electro‑acoustic production. Throughout his career,
he collaborated with figures such as Evan Parker, Thurston Moore, Robert Wyatt,
