Vyvienne Long
Vyvienne Long, born in County Dublin, Ireland, is a classically trained cellist
who also sings and plays piano. She studied at the College of Music in Dublin
and the Escola de Musica in Barcelona. Long toured extensively with Damien Rice
before releasing her debut EP Birdtalk in 2006. Her cover version of "Seven
Nation Army" by The White Stripes appeared on the charity compilation Even
Better than the Real Thing, Vol 2. In March 2009, she released the single "Happy
Thoughts", which was originally used for a cheese ad. Long's debut album
