Vienna Teng
Vienna Teng is an American pianist and singer-songwriter born as Cynthia Yih
Shih on October 3, 1978, in Saratoga, California. She began playing classical
piano at age five. Teng joined the a cappella ensemble Stanford Harmonics in
1996 while studying computer science at Stanford University. After graduating in
2000, she worked as a software engineer for Cisco Systems. Teng signed with the
label Virt Records and released the debut studio recording Waking Hour (2002).
