Víctor Manuel De Anda Iturbe, known professionally as Víctor Yturbe and
nicknamed "El Pirulí," was born on May 8, 1936, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
He began his career as a singer after working as a payaso acuático (water clown)
in Acapulco. His first album, Noches en la Posada Vallarta, released in 1964,
marked the start of his professional singing journey and included the popular
track "Puerto Vallarta." Yturbe's breakthrough came with the song "Felicidad" by
