Verbal Kent
Dan Weiss, born July 22, 1978 in Chicago, Illinois, is an American alternative
hip hop artist known as Verbal Kent. Growing up in Rogers Park, he began writing
at 15 and studied music at Columbia College Chicago before dropping out in 1999
to form the live hip‑hop group Organic Mind Unit, where he transitioned from
drummer to rapper. His solo debut What Box came in 2004, followed by Move With
the Walls (2006), Fist Shaking (2008), Save Yourself (2011), Sound of the Weapon
