V-ro, born Véronique Esdras in Saint-Claude, Guadeloupe, in 1982, is a French
zouk singer. She began singing in her parish choir before joining the group Zouk
Look as a backing vocalist alongside her sister in 2001. In 2002, producer Slam
produced her debut studio album, Softcore, released in 2003. She followed with
her second studio album, Son an nou, in 2005, blending acoustic sounds with
zouk, biguine, gwo-ka, and dancehall influences, and released her studio album
