Tyree Cooper
Tyree Cooper, born November 26 in Chicago, is an American house musician,
rapper, and DJ who emerged as a key figure in the hip‑house movement of the late
1980s. His early career was marked by the underground hit "Acid Over" (1987) and
subsequent releases such as "Turn Up The Bass" (1988) and "House Music Is My
Life" (1989), which established his reputation within the Chicago house scene.
In 1988, he released the album Tyree's Got A Brand New House, followed by Nation
Of Hip House (1989) on D. J. International Records and CBS. The early 1990s saw
