The Turtle Creek Chorale, an American men's chorus based in Dallas, Texas, was
founded on February 19, 1980. The group began with 39 charter members under the
guidance of founding artistic director Harry E. Scher and initially rehearsed at
Holy Trinity Catholic Church. In its early years, the chorale received
significant recognition, including winning the state title in the Johnny Mann
Great American Choral Festival in 1982 under Dr. Richard L. Fleming's direction.
