Tuğba Özerk is a Turkish pop singer and songwriter born in Izmir, Turkey, on June 4, 1980. Her professional music career began at twelve years of age when she started performing as a background vocalist for Sezen Aksu. She made her recording debut in 2002 with the release of her first studio album, Dün Gibi, which featured the single “Aşk Yarası”. Özerk achieved her commercial breakthrough three years later with the hit single “Lo Lo Lo”, which was included on her self-titled sophomore studio album, Tuğba Özerk, in 2005.
