Trygve Henrik Hoff was a Norwegian singer, songwriter, and composer born on July
7, 1938, in Rognan. He worked as a teacher at Buskerud folkehøgskole and served
as the conductor for the Berlevåg Mannsangforening. Hoff launched his solo
recording career in 1979 with the album Kokfesk, followed by Fokti and Rækved og
lørveblues in 1980. His music frequently depicted life in Northern Norway,
notably in the song “Jentan på fileten”. He was also a prolific writer for other
artists, composing the hits “Har en drøm” and “Ei hand å holde i” for Jørn Hoel
