Trond Granlund, born on July 29, 1950, in Oslo, Norway, is a Norwegian singer
known for his contributions to folk and rock. He grew up in Torshov and
Manglerud before moving to Lørenskog in 1968. Granlund began his music career in
1973 with the release of independent album Rock. His first solo album, Trond
Granlund, was released in 1976. Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, he
released several albums including Pleasant Surprise (1981), which won him a
