Trompies
Trompies, a South African kwaito music group formed in 1995, originated from the
Soweto township. The members, namely Mandla "Spikiri" Mofokeng, Eugene "Donald
Duck" Mthethwa, Jairus "Jakarumba" Nkwe, Zynne "Mahoota" Sibika, and Emmanuel
"Mjokes" Matsane, grew up together and formed the band after completing their
music studies. Trompies released their debut album Sigiya Ngengoma in 1995,
marking the beginning of a successful career that has seen them sell over half a
