Torgny Melins
Torgny Melins is a Swedish dansband formed in Säffle, Värmland, in 1983. The
group gained wider recognition with the 2006 album Dansbander, featuring
dance-band interpretations of songs by Teddybears STHLM. That same year, they
became the first dansband since Sven-Ingvars in 1991 to perform at the Hultsfred
Festival and also appeared at the Arvika Festival. The band composed the
original music for the 2007 film Snart är det lördag igen and recorded the duet
"Ska du gå din väg" with Kikki Danielsson. Torgny Melins reached the finals of
Dansbandskampen in 2009 before taking a hiatu...
