Tomeu Penya
Bartomeu Nicolau Morlà, known professionally as Tomeu Penya, was born on March
22, 1949, in Villafranca de Bonany, Baleares, Spain. He started his musical
career at fifteen, performing with rock groups during Mallorca's tourism boom.
Penya's early travels across Europe, playing in pubs from Venice to Sweden,
honed his skills before returning home to record his debut album Canta a la
Vila. His breakthrough came with the release of Coverbos (1984). Penya's career
