Mobilised in response to the coronavirus pandemic, Finnish pop supergroup Toivon
Kärki assembled in 2020 to release the charity single “Uuden edessä” (“In Front
of Something New”), a standalone track with proceeds going to the Red Cross.
Featuring remotely recorded contributions from a whopping 150 musicians
including singers, rappers and producers, the genre-straddling track was the
brainchild of platinum-certified pop-rock star Lauri Tähkä, who had urged his
