Tito Cortés, born Luis Alberto Cortes Bonnet on December 3, 1924, in Tumaco,
Colombia, was a singer-songwriter known for his boleros. Raised by Leocadia
Fermín, Cortés began his musical journey singing in the cabarets of Cali's
working-class neighborhoods, accompanied by his guitar. His first recording,
"Alma Tumaqueña", was released in 1951, marking the start of a prolific career.
Throughout the 1950s and beyond, Cortés released numerous notable songs,
