Tirso Duarte was a Cuban singer, pianist, composer, and arranger who became a
key figure in contemporary timba and salsa. Born in Havana on April 12, 1978, he
studied at the prestigious Conservatorio Amadeo Roldán before launching his
career with Pachito Alonso y sus Kini Kini. His talent quickly led him to work
with some of Cuba's most influential bands, including NG La Banda under José
Luis Cortés, La Charanga Habanera with David Calzado, and later Pupy y Los Que
