The Wood Brothers
The Wood Brothers are an American band with a strong background in roots music
who are lauded for their harmonic mix of blues, folk, jazz, country and rock.
Brothers Oliver and Chris Wood, who were born in Colorado, already had
successful careers as musicians individually and with other bands when they
teamed up as The Wood Brothers in 2006. Oliver had played guitar and sung R&B,
country and folk with the group King Johnson while Chris played the double bass
in the contemporary jazz trio Medeski Martin & Wood with keyboard player John
Medeski and drummer Billy Martin.
