The Whitlams, an Australian indie rock band, were formed in late 1992. The
original lineup consisted of Tim Freedman on keyboards and lead vocals, Andy
Lewis on double bass, and Stevie Plunder on guitar and lead vocals. The band's
name was inspired by former Prime Minister Gough Whitlam. Their debut album,
Introducing the Whitlams, was released in August 1993 and featured a mix of
original and cover songs, including "Woody" and "Gough". In February 1995, their
second album, Undeniably the Whitlams, was released. The band's breakthrough
came with the release of Eternal Nightcap in...
