The Virgins
Despite the misleading appearance of their stage name, this quartet of hip young
New Yorkers offers a surprisingly mature sound, inspired as much by new-wave as
by the alternative rock of the early 2000s. Their debut album, The Virgins
(2008), signals their entry into the highly sought-after league of New York rock
bands such as The Strokes and The Rapture.
