The Ventures
The Ventures are an American pop/rock band that became huge in America in the
1960s and sustained ongoing popularity around the world, particularly in Japan.
Their 1960 single 'Walk, Don't Run', which in 2006 was inducted into the Grammy
Awards Hall of Fame, won them wide popularity and they became one of the most
influential so-called "surf bands" on America's west coast. They have gone
through several line-up changes over the years since they began with guitarists
Don Wilson and Bob Bogle, who died in 2009.
