The Toys, a girl group from Jamaica, New York, were formed in 1961. The trio
consisted of Barbara Harris, Barbara Parritt, and June Montiero. Barbara Harris
began singing at an early age before moving to Queens, New York, where she
joined the group The Charlettes with Bobby Uri as manager. In 1965, after
signing with DynoVoice Records, The Toys released their hit single "A Lover’s
Concerto", which reached number 2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and sold
