The Techniques were a Jamaican rocksteady vocal group formed in 1962 by Winston Riley. The initial lineup included Slim Smith, Franklyn White, and Frederick Waite. Their breakthrough came with the release of their first single “No One” in 1963, followed by their Jamaican debut in 1965 under producer Duke Reid. Notable singles from this period include “Don't Leave Me”, “When You Are Wrong”, and “Little Did You Know”.
