The Shaggs, an American rock band formed in Fremont, New Hampshire in 1965, consisted of sisters Dorothy "Dot" Wiggin on vocals and lead guitar, Betty Wiggin on vocals and rhythm guitar, Helen Wiggin on drums, and later Rachel Wiggin on bass guitar. The group was formed at the insistence of their father, Austin Wiggin, who believed in a prophecy that his daughters would form a popular band.
