The Rokes
The Rokes were an English pop rock and beat music ensemble from London
established in 1963 in Italy. They achieved professional recognition for a
musical career characterized by their success in the Italian music scene and for
their song “Piangi Con Me” (1966). The ensemble was founded by vocalist and
guitarist Shel Shapiro, guitarist Johnny Charlton, bassist Bobby Posner, and
