The Regents are an American doo-wop vocal group from New York, active from the
late 1950s to the early 1960s. The original lineup included Guy Villari, Sal
Cuomo, and Chuck Fassert on vocals, Tony Gravagna on bass, and Don Jacobucci on
sax/baritone. Formed in 1959, the group initially consisted of members who had
previously been part of another band called The Monterays. The Regents gained
significant attention with their hit single "Barbara Ann", released on January
