British indie-pop band The Primitives were formed in Coventry in 1984. The
original line-up included Paul "PJ" Court on vocals and guitar, Steve Dullaghan
on bass guitar, Peter Tweedie on drums, and Keiron McDermott on vocals. Tracy
Tracy replaced Keiron McDermott as the lead vocalist in 1986. The Primitives
released their early singles on Lazy Records before signing with RCA in late
1987. Their debut studio album, Lovely, released in February 1988, reached
