The Ocean
The Ocean is a post-metal band from Berlin, Germany. Guitarist/songwriter Robin
Staps moved to Berlin in early winter of 2000, and by the end of 2001, the band
established "Oceanland," a complex of rehearsal, sleeping, and studio spaces
within an old aluminum factory. Their first official concert took place in July
2002 with classical live instrumentalists. The Ocean released their album
Fluxion in 2004, followed by Aeolian in 2005. Both albums featured
