The Moody Brothers is an American country music trio formed in 1985. The group includes lead vocalist and guitarist Carlton Moody, songwriter and producer Dave Moody, and fiddler Trent Moody. The band gained prominence with a 1985 Grammy nomination for their instrumental performance of “Cotton Eyed Joe”, which was followed by a second nomination in 1990. In 1988, they recorded the album Friends in Prague, Czechoslovakia, with Jiří Brabec, winning the Ampex Golden Reel Award for the collaboration.
