The Monitors
The Monitors were an American soul vocal group formed in 1964 in the United
States, comprising lead singer Richard Street, Sandra Fagin, John “Maurice”
Fagin, and Warren Harris; Richard Street had previously performed with the
Distants and was a school friend of Otis Williams and Melvin Franklin. Their
breakthrough came with the single "Say You" in 1965, which peaked at number 36
on the Billboard R&B chart, followed by the cover "Greetings (This Is Uncle
Sam)" in 1966, which reached number 21 on the R&B chart and Number 1 hundred on
