The Mizell Brothers, consisting of Larry Mizell and Alphonso "Fonce" Mizell,
were an American record producing team from the United States. Born on February
17, 1944, and January 15, 1943 respectively, both brothers earned degrees in
engineering and music at Howard University, where they formed a jazz vocal
quartet called The Vanlords. In the early 1970s, they moved to California and
established Sky High Productions, producing albums for Blue Note Records that
