The Islanders are an international instrumental project founded in the late
1950s by Randy Starr (real name Warren Nadel, born July 2, 1930 in the Bronx,
New York), backed by Frank Metis (accordion) and special sound effects by Ralph
F.Curtiss. The group achieved great success in 1959 with the single "The
Enchanted Sea", reaching number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100. In the 1960s and
