The Herd, an English rock band, was founded in 1965 in South London. The
original lineup included Terry Clark on vocals and guitar, Gary Taylor on
guitar, Louis Cennamo on bass, and Tony Chapman on drums. In 1966, Peter
Frampton joined as lead singer and guitarist at the age of 16, marking a
significant turning point for the band. With new members Andy Bown on keyboards
and Andrew Steele on drums, The Herd signed with Fontana Records and released
