The Glove was a British new‑wave duo formed in 1983 by Steven Severin, bassist
of Siouxsie and the Banshees, and Robert Smith, guitarist and vocalist of The
Cure. The collaboration emerged from a friendship that began in 1979 when the
two musicians met at a Throbbing Gristle concert in London, and their joint
efforts culminated in the release of a single album, Blue Sunshine, on
