The Fuzz
The Fuzz was an American female vocal trio from Washington, D.C., formed in 1970
as The Passionettes before signing to Calla Records in 1971 and renaming
themselves. The group comprised Sheila Young, Val Williams, Barbara Gilliam, and
Danielle Angelique Mims, with Young contributing the majority of the
songwriting. Their self-titled debut studio album, The Fuzz (1971), reached
number 196 on the US Billboard 200 and number 43 on the R&B Albums chart. It was
