The Fiestas, an American rhythm and blues group from Newark, New Jersey, formed
in 1958. Their breakthrough came when Hy Weiss, owner of Old Town Records,
offered them a contract after hearing them sing in a bathroom adjacent to his
office in Harlem. The group's first single, "So Fine", written by guitarist
Frank Ingalls and his brother Samuel Ingalls, reached number 3 on the R&B
singles chart and number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1959. Following this
success, they released a series of soul singles, including "You Could Be My
Girlfriend" and "Anna", though only "Broken Heart"...
