The Farmer Boys
The Farmer Boys was an American country and rockabilly duo from Farmersville,
California, consisting of Bobby Adamson (born September 20, 1933) and Woody
Murray (born September 11, 1933). The duo was formed in 1952, performing at
local celebrations and bars. Their breakthrough occurred after a performance at
the Happy-Go-Lucky Club, which led to an invitation from Herb Henson to appear
on his nightly radio show on KERO. Henson named them the Farmer Boys because
they came from Farmersville. They signed with Capitol Records and held their
first recording session on January 12, 1955...
