The Caravelles, a British pop duo, formed in 1963 and comprised Lois Wilkinson
and Andrea Simpson. They were introduced to each other by guitarist Tony Pitt,
who suggested they record "You Don’t Have to Be a Baby to Cry". This demo
secured them a contract with the Chris Blackwell-founded BPR Records, where they
adopted the name The Caravelles. Their debut single, "You Don't Have To Be A
