The Budos Band
The Budos Band is an American instrumental band founded in 2005 in Staten
Island, New York. Released by Daptone Records. Born of informal sessions at the
House of Soul studio, run by Gabriel Roth (aka Bosco Mann), it brings together
musicians linked to the New York soul/funk scene, notably via Antibalas and
Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings. The core group includes Jared Tankel (baritone
sax), Thomas Brenneck (guitar), Andrew Greene (trumpet), Daniel Foder (bass) and
