The Beyond
The Beyond was an English progressive metal band formed in Derby in 1988 by Andy
Gatford on guitars and Neil Cooper on drums. They were joined by John Whitby on
vocals and Paul Fallon on bass, who was later replaced by Jim Kersey. They
signed deals with Island Music and EMI. Their debut album Crawl was released in
1991 on Harvest Records, featuring the singles "One Step Too Far", which was
number 97 on the UK Singles Chart, and Raging E.P., which entered the UK Top 75.
