The Avalanches
In the first 19 years of their musical career The Avalanches released just one
album and had a 300% turnover of band personnel, two of whom were quite badly
injured during live performances. Behind these unpromising statistics lies the
intriguing musical partnership of bassist and keyboard player Tony Di Blasi and
keyboardist Robbie Chater who form the core of The Avalanches, which started in
