The Atomic Fireballs
The Atomic Fireballs, a Detroit swing revival band from Detroit, formed in 1996
with John Bunkley on vocals. The group was discovered by former Kid Rock manager
Michael Rand, who booked nearly 60 concerts for them before introducing the
group to major record labels. They were signed to Lava Records and released
their first album, Birth of the Swerve, independently in 1998. In 1999, they
released their second and final album, Torch this Place. The band's biggest hit,
"Man with the Hex", was featured on soundtracks of films such as American Pie
